Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Spot Treatment Review

Hello my KMD lovelies!

I’m bringing another skin care routine regimen in for this blog post so sit back and enjoy!

Don’t you just hate those random pimples or zits that pop overnight?  Believe it or not, I can relate to the pain you may feel here.

Luckily, Neutrogena has created an at-home spot treatment.  It consists of red and blue antibacterial LED lights and looks like a pen.  This spot treatment is also chemical and UV free, so it can be used every day (or whenever a new friend pops up on the face).

So how exactly does this LED spot treatment work, you ask?

Well, it’s a spot treatment for those unwanted and annoying face friends.  You direct the light towards the spot or area that would like to be treated, and it shrinks those spots.  Firstly, the pen has to be directed on the spot that would like to be treated.  Once the pen is in place, there is button on the side which can be clicked.  The button activates the LED light, and from there it will beep and be on for two whole minutes, once the two minutes are up it will beep again and turn off.  This LED light helps reduce the inflammation caused in the acne spot as well as prevent oil and bacteria from occurring in the same spot.

Luckily for me (or unluckily, however you put it), when this product came in, I had a pimple come up on my face.  I was able to use this product to its full potential.  After my first try, I noticed that the inflammation did go down in that spot.  I was fairly impressed with the product since most items like this don’t shrink the acne spots.

Final verdict, is that I do enjoy using this product and have incorporated it in my daily skin care routine.  This product doesn’t get rid of acne spots nor does it claim to so I knew what to expect.  It did reduce the size of the pimple so I was happy with those results.
