Hello my KMD lovelies!
I want to wish everyone a Happy September and hope everyone had an amazing Labor Day Weekend!
Now that it’s the unofficial end of summer, I am so excited for fall fashion to begin! With that being said, one of the local Memphis Blogger Babes (Bianca of Curvaceously Bee) wanted to do a “From Summer to Fall” Blogger Series and I chimed right in! I love my local Memphis Blogger community and try to jump on any opportunity I can to work with the amazing talent in town. Without further ado, let me introduce you to the lovely ladies!
Belinda, of the Honeybee’s Lifestyle, is a lifestyle blogger. Bianca, of Curvaceously Bee, is a body positive fashion blogger. Desiree, of Mocha Divas, is an inspirational lifestyle blogger. Erica Dallas, of Erica Dallas, is lifestyle blogger who focuses on the visuals arts. Melissa, of Reverberating Daily, is a newer lifestyle blogger in town (yes, even newer than me!). Last but not least, Michelle, of Elaine Michelle, is lifestyle with a focus on planning and organizing your life. Check out these lovely ladies and don’t forget to also check out their first posts for this collab series!
Phew! I’ve got to writing a lot in this post but the first one in a series is always a long one, isn’t it?
Anyway, as most of you may or may not know, I have a full-time job and am blogging as a creative outlet.
Therefore, my take on this series will be a Corporate Spin on all of these themes.
My office dresses business casual but more casual then business. Thus, with my portion of this series, I hope to benefit all those ladies struggling to find the right about of business and casual for their workspace.
Without more further ado, let’s get to my outfit for the first post of this series: Fall Florals. When it comes to fall, I always like to think of the beginning of fall as a time to wear floral but with warmer tones. Before I start elaborating on fall florals, I just want to come out and say that floral patterns aren’t always been my favorite- they have to be done right and proper for me to like them- more in a tasteful way. In simpler terms, make sure it does not look like my grandma would wear it.
When I saw this top, I knew it was a perfect fit for my fall corporate wardrobe. The long sleeves keep you a little warm but the flowlyness of the top keeps you cool. Thus, it’s the perfect transitional piece for summer to fall!
I like to pair this flowly floral top with some flowy parachute pants. Again, same concept applies here as it did with the top- flowly for coolness and length for warmth. These pointy flats add the right amount of professionalism to a casual outfit making it a great fit for a business causal work environment.
