Hello my KMD lovelies!
The previous part of this series highlighted a holiday look for a party at a Friends’ house. Since I did a fun look in the previous post, I thought to do more of a classic look for this theme. Just to a quick recap: or this series, I will be featuring two looks: One for Friendsmas and one for a Family Holiday Dinner. Finally, let’s get to the details for my Family Dinner look!
Depending on most peoples’ families, their Christmas Dinner can be either nice or casual. Therefore, I went with something that could be used as either one of those options- depending on the accessories. I wore the look in more of a casual setting (yes, it can be dressed up more, believe it or not). With that being said, I decided to stick with a red dress.
Red is such an iconic color for the holidays, it’s hard not to go with it!
I chose a red dress that had a cut-out-lace material, with an attached slip underneath, just for fun. I paired it with a basic black cardigan and black tights, to keep warm. I also added my favorite open-toe block-heeled booties in a taupe color. I thought the taupe shoes would add a little bit more color to the rather red and black attire.
Since I considered this version of the look more casual, you can dress it up by removing the tights & cardigan and adding some nice black holiday heels instead (not pictured).
Would you wear this look to a Holiday Dinner with your family? Which version would you wear: the casual look or more dressed up look? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
