Galentine’s Day: The Blogger Way

Hello my KMD lovelies!

This is such an overdue post (as are so many of my others but really, who’s counting).  I’ve been wanting to post about this for a while but with trying to complete my Master’s last year, the blog had to slow down a bit.  Anyway, at least I can post about this event as a throwback.

Keeping that in mind, this post will be about the Galentine’s events I attend last year (in 2019) or the Blogger community.in Memphis, TN.  Also, please excuse the amazing phone photography that me & my fellow bloggers have done (we have since been taking our fancy camera’s to events).

There were a few events scheduled that day (Feb 7th, 2019) however, I only attended two of the events along with my friend and amazing photographer, Bekah of BekahTheHedgePhoto.  One of them was a Blogger Xchange Happy Hour and another was an event hosted by Bluff City Soaps.  I enjoyed “party hopping” from event to event so I hope you enjoy reading about it as well!

Blogger Xchange Happy Hour

As most of you know by now, I love attending the Blogger Xchange events.  They’re fun interactive, and you get to learn a ton.  This event was a little different since it was a Happy Hour and all the Bloggers just hung out with each other rather than learn.  It was located at a new hot spot in town (at the time) called ‘The Wknd’.  All of us had a ton of fun and we got to know each other a little better!  Blogger Xchange was also kind enough to provide some snacks for us while we enjoyed the Happy Hour vibes.  Enjoy the pictures from the event!

Buff City Soaps Galentine’s Event

The Buff City Event was different in the way that had asked all of us to wear pink for the event.  I had not gone to an event where there was a dress code just yet so this was a little different for me.  However, I can’t say no to some pink so I was on board with this dress code!

They had a beautiful snacks and champagne layout.  They also had a Mixologist from Alchemy that made us drinks – how cool!  We got to see how the soaps were made as well as were given some goodie bags.

The Outfit

I know most of you are wondering about my outfit.  I choose something that was “professional yet fun”.  Since I was coming straight from work, I wanted to make sure my outfit was work appropriate but also, fun for all of the events.  Since one of the events required us to wear something pink, I wore a bright pink tunic tucked into a black pencil skirt & black heels.  Super simple yet fun and versatile!

To summarize, I loved event hopping and attending both events.  It’s nice to see the local stores and groups work with the blogger community.  I look forward to attending this year’s events (hopefully I can post that on time 😉 ) and hope you all enjoyed my breakdown from last year’s events.
