Blogging Tips: 5 Ideas for Blog Posts

Hello my KMD lovelies!

A lot fo you are loving my blogging tips & tricks series and I have honestly enjoyed sharing what I know with all my followers! I’ve only been blogging for 2 years, and while I’ve grown so much, I also know there’s still a lot for my learn and a lot more room for me to grow.

In this installment of my Blogging Tips series, I’ll be speaking about sources of inspiration for your posts. So, whether you’re a newbie or you’re a seasoned blogger, get ready to be inspired!

Inspiration #1:  Use your audience

My inspiration for my Blogging Tips Series was from my Instagram audience always asking me for the blogging tips & tricks. Your followers are a great source of inspiration, as they give you the motivation to keep writing and continue to post. As your loyalty grows, reaching out to your audience is a fun and interactive way to find inspiration for your next post or series. Some examples of asking your audience for inspiration are, sending a mass email to your blog email list or asking a question/a poll question on Instagram.

Inspiration #2:  Pinterest

Pinterest is a great tool for inspiration! With my blog focuses on fashion, style, and travel, I usually search those themes until I find something that sparks my mind and inspires me! If you have a nasty case of writer’s block, don’t be afraid to fall down a Pinterest-inspired black hole.

Inspiration #3:  Fellow bloggers

When looking around the blogosphere, don’t be afraid to read and follow your fellow blogger to find the next great post for inspiration. However, make sure to be careful and not to blatantly copy & paste posts. Remember, you should be inspired to write something unique. For instance, in my last post, my friend Richa was who inspired the post and I made to sure mention it.  Be sure to give credit where credit is due.

Inspiration #4:  Current Events

With so much going on in the world currently, everyday life and current events are a great way to be inspired. The COVID-19 pandemic has shifted our day-to-day routines and affected everyone around the globe. Using this a source of inspiration, I wrote a series of posts of when you’re bored, how to travel safely during this time, etc.

Inspiration #5:  Your life

One place you shouldn’t forget to look is your day-to-day life. Your followers love to hear about what’s new with you, they may love your fashion tips, or blogging tips but in the end, they love those tips because of you. I tend to be a bit more private, so to open up a little more, I wrote a series of posts such as what I’m currently watching on Netflix and my honeymoon memories.

So there you have it, my top 5 tips for how I come up with blog post ideas.  Let me know what you think! Have you used any of these inspirational tips before? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!
