As Valentine’s Day approaches, I can’t help but think to myself that this year’s Valentine’s will be just as different as any holiday within the past year. Since most places in the world are going through a second quarantine/lockdown, I thought I’d put together a list for some fun socially distanced Valentine’s Date Ideas. Feel free to use this list for any date night idea as well.
1) Make Pasta from Scratch
If you love cooking, then this one is for you and your loved one! Forget the bread making, instead make pasta at home from scratch. It’s a time-consuming meal yet worth it once you taste that fresh pasta. Trust me, nothing beats homemade fresh pasta.
2) Movie Night (Indoors or Outdoors)
I love doing the classic movie and dinner date with my hubbie on Valentine’s day. I know it sounds so cliché but I’m just a simple gal. If you’re like me then, you’ll enjoy this type of date night as well. To add a little flair, head to a local Drive-In movie to enjoy watching a movie in the comfort of your own car.

3) Explore the Outdoors
If you have good weather where you’re located, then heading outdoors is one of the best socially distanced date ideas! Go for a hike at a nearby trail or a walk in the park near your city. The best thing about this date idea? Not only is it socially distanced but it’s free as well! So, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly Valentine’s date idea, this is a great option!
4) Virtual Wine Tasting
There are many websites out there that will give you a virtual wine tasting for a small fee. You can also do this if you’re in a long-distance relationship or if you want to have a zoom Galentine’s Day. It’s a fun yet romantic date night.

5) Virtual Museum Tour
If you enjoy the arts then, doing a Virtual Museum Tour date is something you might want to consider. It’s going to a museum, in the comfort of your own home. Both you and your loved one will be socially distanced from a crowd of people. Best part- you don’t have to sneak in any snacks!
6) Do a Workout Class Together
For the fitness couples, you can do an at home-workout class. Whether that’s finding something on Youtube or signing up for a class, the internet has a wide range of possibilities. Some examples can be a couples yoga class, couples Pilates class, couples dance class, etc.
7) At home Karaoke
Whether you’re a great singer or not, this one is fun to do. Especially since you’ll be in the comfort of your own home, no one will be able to hear you sing but you and your loved one. Youtube has an amazing selection of karaoke songs that you can choose from and have fun with!
8) Enjoy a Sunrise or Sunset Picnic
Watching a sunrise or sunset can be so romantic especially if you do a picnic with this activity. Look up your local park timings and see if you can do a sunrise or sunset picnic. If you’re in a colder climate area, you can also have this date in the comfort of your own home. Just choose a room in your that has the best lighting and views of the sun.

9) Play Dress Up
If you want to spice it up and have some fun, then playing dress up is the way to go! You can pick an outfit for your loved one (down to the under garments) and vice versa. Both of you will probably be surprised with what the other chose for each other. It’s like playing dress up but as adults.
10) Stargaze
This can be done both indoors and outdoors. Stargazing is not recommended to be done indoors however, if you’re in a colder climate area then you can always find a spot in your house that allows for good star viewing. If you’re in a warmer climate area then take a couple of blankets and head to your backyard or balcony and cuddle up with your loved one as you watch the stars.
I hope you all enjoyed my list of 10 ways to socially distance and celebrate Valentine’s Day. Which date idea was your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!
