As the first day of spring approaches tomorrow, I wanted to go over my favorite spring essentials. Each year, I love pulling these items from my closet and buying new ones as well. This list consists of my favorite spring essentials that I look forward to wearing for that season.
I never really been a fan of denim skirts. I always had a hard time wearing them in and getting them to become softer overtime. So, I always avoided them. However, I have been loving them lately and can’t get enough of a good denim skirt!
I even got a black denim skirt for this spring so I can’t wait to get it to good use!
Wearing floral for spring is not anything new. It’s a simple and classic print that works every spring and summer. If you’ve been following me for a while, then you know that floral isn’t my thing. But, I’ve figured out how to make it work for me so, I like to spring in my favorite types of floral outfits throughout the warmer months.
Most people think jumpsuits are better suited for fall or winter, but I love to wear them in the spring (or summer) as well. There are lightweight and flowy jumpsuits that are especially suited for the warmer months. I think it looks very classic for a night out when you pair them with a nice pair of heels. The best part- it’s one item so you don’t have to worry about matching a top or bottom!
A good flowy maxi dress is also a spring and summer classic. Fun fact, it’s sad that maxi dresses help you cool off better than shorts. And that is one of the main reasons why I love to wear a maxi dress. They’re also nice and versatile where you can take them from a nice walk in the park to drinks with friends on a patio- if dressed properly.
I know a romper is a shorter form of a jumpsuit but since they are listed as two different clothing items at stores, I’m listing it as two different items on my list as well. Rompers are fun and cute. Initially, I didn’t like them when they first came out, but I have loved to appreciate a nice light-weight romper for the warmer months. They’re perfect for a picnic date, patio dinner with friends, etc.
Another classic spring essential that I love. However, I’m not talking about good denim shorts but rather a flowy or printed pair of shorts. Those types of shorts have been my go-to spring short. They can be dressed down or dressed up and look super cute on the beach too! I love how versatile they are and how they make any outfit pop.
I’m not a big earing girl but I have been loving tassel earrings for the past couple of years. As always, I was skeptical of this trend, then when I finally got on board, I loved it and now can’t get enough! I know that a lot of you have been noticing my statement earrings in my pictures so I’m glad it’s getting noticed!
Wedges or Gladiators
I can’t do a spring essentials list without mentioning a good pair of shoes. I pretty much live-in wedges or gladiators each spring (and summer) to the point where my favorite ones get too worn out to wear. So, I’m always buying a new pair each season. But I’m not complaining- I love shoe shopping!
A white tee might look a bit odd being on a spring essentials list since everything else is so classic. However, I wanted to add this here because I love to pair a good white tee with my printed shorts or a denim skirt. It also looks good as a pool or beach cover-up when you pair it with a sarong or any kind of printed bottoms.
There you have it- my list of my favorite spring essentials! What’s one spring essential that you love to wear?
