Studex Earrings Review

Hello my KMD lovelies!

It seems that every time I put up a post, I always say something along the lines of “I have been posting because of xyz….”.  Truth is, I feel bad for not being consistent with you guys!  I’ve got to be better at my schedule.  I promise, I’ll get more consistent (eventually) but until then, please bear with me for my inconsistent posting schedule.  Moving on, let’s get on to my experience with Studex Earrings!

Studex Earrings 01

As I’ve gotten older, my ears have gotten more and more sensitive.  It may have to do with the fact that I used to wear big, artificial earrings all the time in middle school and high school or that I’m actually just getting older (I’ll chose the latter 😉 ).  I wanted to try out the Studex earrings and was so happy when they had sent me their earrings to try out!  I received their Sensitive Stud Earrings Gold Plated 6mm Cubic-Zirconia in a Tiffany Setting in the mail.

So, you bet I was super excited to try these earrings out!

Before trying them out, I wanted to do some research for my newly sensitive earrings.  I know that some earrings will mention “for sensitive earrings/sensitive solutions” however, those still eventually end up bothering my earrings.  After doing my research I found out the following about the Studex earrings:

  • They are hypoallergenic
  • They are part of a sensitive collection earring
  • They are made of medical grade, stainless steel and also available in karat gold for ear-piercings
  • They’re also made in the US (I’m all about supporting local)

I was still skeptical but gave them a shot since I like to try out everything before finally coming to a conclusion.  I had worn the studs for a couple of days in a row as well as some events around town/family events.  For those that don’t know or can’t tell by my pictures since it’s a bit hard to see, I have three ear piercings on my left ear (two on the ear lobe and one on the cartilage) and two ear piercings on my right ear (both on the ear lobe).  So with that in mind, I also tried the studs in the two piercings on my ear lobes on both ears.

After this trial period, I noticed that my ears didn’t itch nor was there this weird rash that I usually get (sorry if that’s TMI).  I also really like how the stone in the stud is super shiny – which is something I always look for in my studs (the shinnier the better)!  Overall, I really enjoy wearing these studs, my ears are super happy and so am I.

  1. Hey! Those earrings sound great! You are probably allergic to nickel which is why you need the surgical steel posts. Not many people choose to use the nickel free version and I don’t know why. I think the allergy is more common than we think. Glad these worked for you!

    1. That’s true, I’m probably allergic to nickel. I can’t wear costume bracelets or necklaces for longer than a week straight either. I’ll have to double check with my allergist too though. Thanks for the tips, Jamie!
